Update on Ben Wolverton
Today is April 27th, and it has been 24 days since Ben fell off of his skateboard.
I've been having bad allergy problems down in Vegas for several days, and that has led to a sinus infection, so I drove home to Saint George last night in order to try to heal up. I'm taking lots of vitamin C, eating well, and I'm going to go for a nice long walk in a bit.
Spencer Wolverton went down to see Ben this morning. Mary couldn't get Ben to wake up, but when she said "Spencer is here," Ben opened his eyes immediately, and stayed focused on him for quite a while. Spencer has started growing a little beard, and Mary asked if he liked it. Ben nodded "yes," and then had a little arm-wrestling match with Spencer. Spencer asked him to growl, and showed him how, and Ben growled a bit.
So we got a lot of good new signs that Ben is mending. On the other hand, the doctors decided that Ben is still thrashing around too much today, so they said that he can't go out in his wheelchair to get some sun after all. They're going to make him wait until next week sometime.
His little encounter wore Ben out, so he is back to sleeping for awhile.
