Tonight we start the 28th day since Ben's longboarding accident.
Today, Ben has required two liters of extra fluids in order to keep his blood pressure up, and the doctors suspect that the problem is a new bacterial infection. They've checked his blood, lungs, urine, etc. for the culprit, so now they are doing a spinal tap to see if he the infection is in his brain.
Mary said that he did open his eyes for a bit this morning, so she has stayed at his side, playing his favorite music to him. Because I am sick, I'm staying away. Wish that I could be there to lend him some encouragement and support.
