Update on Ben Wolverton

Today is the 51st day since Ben fell from his longboard.

Ben's face is still swollen from the brain surgery over the past couple of days. Ben has seven "bolts" in his skull, along with about 80 staples, and an unknown number of stitches in his skull and then down in his stomach--hundreds of stitches, most likely, but he says that he feels fine.

When a person suffers an injury, their natural endorphin levels rise to help get rid of pain. I suspect that you could sell Ben's blood on the black market now, and it would make an excellent painkiller.

Today Ben got back into therapy--physical, speech, and occupational--and seems to be moving and thinking a little faster than before. So we're seeing slow and steady improvement.
